Questions
Do YouTube transcripts use my minutes?
No. When a video has subtitles (most of YouTube, many Vimeo videos), the transcript is free and unlimited on every plan. Minutes are used only when the extension listens to the audio of a video that has no subtitles.
What happens when my minutes run out?
The recording in progress stops at the limit and its text is saved. Everything you already transcribed stays in your library and can be exported. Minutes refill at the start of your next billing month, and YouTube with subtitles keeps working.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and there are no further charges.
Is my audio stored?
No. Audio goes over an encrypted connection to the speech recognition service only to produce your transcript and is not stored on our servers. We never sell your data.
How minutes are counted
Minutes are counted by the length of the recording the extension listens to. Transcripts made from YouTube subtitles never use minutes. Unused minutes do not carry over to the next month.
Billing
Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which also handles invoices, taxes and payment questions. Depending on your country, VAT or sales tax may apply. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
